Mikayla is a junior majoring in psychology and minoring in Human Development and Family Sciences. Her research interests include the relationship between early life experiences and later mental health outcomes. On campus, she is involved in many areas including an operations assistant at UConn’s Recreation Center, participant in the Early Childhood Specializations Program where she works with young children and families through research-based coursework, reflective practice, and hands-on experiences. Mikayla is also an active participant of the Morale Team for HuskyTHON; a year-long philanthropic effort to raise funds and awareness for Connecticut Children’s. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, traveling to new places, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to the BANDLab and to acquiring new skills that she can apply to her future career in psychology.
