Zayneb Shaikh

Zayneb Shaikh (she/they) is a second-year student at UConn with a major in psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. She is a research assistant here at the BAND Lab, and has research interests within social psychology, with a focus in adversity, mental health, and cross-cultural behaviors as they tie into psychology. Outside of the BAND Lab, Zayneb works at the Asian American Cultural Center (AsACC) as general student staff and a mentor within the Asian/Asian American Mentoring Program (AAMP). Amongst academics, she finds time to indulge in hobbies such as reading, philosophy, and mixed media forms of art.
